Thinly slice red onion. Place onions in a pint mason jar.

In a small saucepan combine apple cider vinegar, water and sugar. Bring to a boil. Carefully pour hot liquid into onion jar and apply lid. Allow to cool on counter and then refrigerate. Enjoy!
